Welcome to The Consistency Lab.
This is a space where I run small experiments in consistency, testing how daily practice in different areas can build focus, discipline, and progress over time.
Perhaps like yours, my interests are diverse: business, coding, marketing, fitness, and more. This Lab gives me, and you, a space to connect those threads without needing everything to “fit” neatly.
And no, I don’t have all the answers yet. That’s the point. This is less about perfection and more about showing up and documenting what happens when I do.
Why “Lab”? And Experimenting With Daily Practice
Because I want this space to feel like experiments, not finished products.
Some things will work, some won’t, and that’s part of the process.
Testing is the only way to find out what we’re capable of, and consistency is the key ingredient that gives every experiment a real shot.
If you’ve struggled to stick with something you chose (not because school or work required it) like training for a marathon, starting a side business, learning how to play the guitar, or even meal prepping, this Lab is for you.
Consistency is a a simple concept, but a hard action. And while we don’t all struggle with the same things, we’re all in the same boat: working towards goals while fighting against our natural pull toward comfort.
Why Document It?
I’m juggling multiple projects at the moment, but documenting them here keeps things simple. It leaves a kind of backlog, a trail I (and maybe you) can look back on to replicate progress later.
And honestly? Creating this Lab itself is a consistency experiment.
Doing nothing feels easier, it’s the path of least resistance. But alongside that, we all carry an instinct for betterment. The Lab is about leaning into that instinct and proving, one small experiment at a time, that yes, we can do it.
What Am I Starting With?
Right now, my main focus is coding and exercise.
On the coding side, I’m following Bay Valley Tech’s prep work and currently working through loops. Funnily enough, loops are the perfect metaphor for consistency: repeating something over and over until it finally clicks.
If you’ve struggled to stick with something of your own, or if you’re curious about consistency, these experiments will give you ideas, or at least show you you’re not alone in this process.
Here’s to Day 1 of the Lab. 🎉
